Question 1

What is a charter flight?

Accepted Answer

A charter flight is a private flight arranged entirely on your schedule. You rent the aircraft for your exclusive use, choose your departure time and destination, and enjoy a tailored experience. Unlike commercial flights, which operate on fixed schedules, a private charter gives you full control and privacy.

Question 2

How do I choose the right aircraft?

Accepted Answer

Our team helps match the right aircraft to your trip details, including distance, passenger count, luggage, and budget. Whether you prefer a light jet for short trips or a larger cabin for comfort and range, we will guide you to the most suitable option.

Question 3

When is a fuel stop required?

Accepted Answer

A fuel stop is needed when your flight distance exceeds the aircraft’s range. For instance, most midsize jets can fly around 3,000–4,000 miles nonstop. If your trip is longer, we will plan an efficient refueling stop along the route.

Question 4

How long does a fuel stop take?

Accepted Answer

Typically, 45–60 minutes. Smaller aircraft may refuel faster, and our operations team will coordinate in advance to minimize your ground time.

Question 5

Can I adjust my departure time?

Accepted Answer

Private travel does allow flexibility, but it’s important to understand that departure times must remain within the crew’s duty limits and approved flight plan. Adjustments can often be made within a reasonable window, but last-minute changes are not always possible once the flight plan has been filed or if the crew has additional scheduled flights. Our operations team coordinates all timing requests in advance to maintain safety, compliance, and smooth execution of your trip.

Question 6

What is an empty-leg flight?

Accepted Answer

An empty leg is a one-way repositioning flight available at a reduced rate when an aircraft is returning empty after a charter. These flights offer excellent value when your schedule aligns with an existing route.

Question 7

Do I need to clear customs on international flights?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All international flights must clear customs at an approved U.S. port of entry. Our operations team coordinates this process in advance, including customs notification, APIS submissions, and passenger documentation. If you are traveling with pets, we also assist with required health certificates, vaccination records, and destination import approvals to ensure a seamless arrival experience.

Question 8

Should I tip the crew?

Accepted Answer

Tipping is never required but always appreciated for exceptional service. Many clients choose to extend gratuity at their discretion as a gesture of thanks.

Question 9

What types of aircraft are available?

Accepted Answer

We help coordinate a full range of aircraft, from light jets seating 4–6 passengers to large-cabin jets accommodating up to 14. We help you select the best option based on distance, comfort, and budget.

Question 10

How does Rennia ensure flight safety?

Question 11

Is aircraft age a safety factor?

Accepted Answer

Question 12

What happens if a mechanical issue occurs?

Accepted Answer

If a mechanical issue arises, in most cases an alternate aircraft of equal or greater category will be dispatched as soon as possible to ensure minimal disruption to your trip.

Question 13

How much rest do crews require before the next flight?

Accepted Answer

Flight crews follow regulated duty and rest cycles to maintain peak safety standards. Specific rest requirements depend on the applicable flight regulations and schedule, and our operations team ensures full compliance on every mission.

Question 14

How much does a private jet charter cost?

Question 17

Are there international or overnight fees?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Overnight and international trips may include crew lodging and handling charges, which are itemized in your quote for full transparency.

Question 18

How does flying private compare to commercial travel?

Accepted Answer

Private flying offers time savings, privacy, and flexibility unmatched by commercial airlines. While the hourly cost is higher, efficiency, comfort, and productivity often outweigh the difference.

Question 19

Can I book recurring or long-term travel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can design recurring charters or multi-month programs customized for business or personal travel.

Question 20

How much luggage can I bring?

Accepted Answer

Each aircraft has a defined luggage capacity. Our team will advise based on your passenger count and bag type. Large items such as skis, golf clubs, or instruments may require specific aircraft configurations.

Question 21

Can I bring my pet?

Accepted Answer

Yes, most aircraft are pet-friendly. Please notify us before booking so we can confirm documentation and cleaning requirements. For international flights, pets must have valid vaccination records and a veterinary health certificate, and some countries require advance import permits or quarantine clearance. We’ll guide you through every step to ensure compliance and comfort for your pet.

Question 22

Can I bring my own food or drinks?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. You can bring any preferred snacks, meals, or beverages, or we can arrange full catering tailored to your tastes.

Question 23

What kind of inflight catering is available?

Accepted Answer

We partner with top aviation caterers and restaurants to provide personalized menus, from light bites to gourmet dining. Every detail can be customized to your preferences.

Question 24

Is there a flight attendant onboard?

Accepted Answer

Cabin attendants are standard on larger jets and available upon request for smaller aircraft. They ensure comfort, catering service, and a seamless experience throughout your flight.

Question 25

Do private jets have Wi-Fi and restrooms?

Accepted Answer

Yes, most aircraft are equipped with inflight Wi-Fi and full lavatories. Smaller jets may have limited amenities, which we confirm before booking.

Question 26

Do private jets use the same airports as commercial airlines?

Accepted Answer

Private jets operate through private terminals known as Fixed-Base Operators (FBOs), which provide quick check-in, discreet boarding, and direct vehicle-to-aircraft access, completely separate from commercial terminals. In addition, private aviation has access to thousands of smaller regional and executive airports that commercial airlines do not serve. This allows us to land closer to your final destination, avoid congestion, and provide greater scheduling flexibility for your trip.

Question 27

Which airports offer ramp or car-side boarding?

Accepted Answer

Many FBOs allow direct ramp access where passengers can drive up to the aircraft. This varies by location and local security policies.

Question 28

What if I’m late or delayed?

Accepted Answer

While private flights offer greater flexibility than commercial travel, departure times must stay within the approved flight plan and crew duty limits. If you are running late, please contact our team as soon as possible. We will coordinate with the crew to adjust within safe and legal parameters, but significant delays may require re-filing the flight plan, securing new airport slots, or even adjusting to a later departure time if the crew’s schedule or duty hours are affected. Advance communication ensures we can accommodate you without disruption or additional costs whenever possible.

Question 29

What happens in bad weather?

Accepted Answer

If conditions are unsafe, flights will be delayed or rerouted. Our operations team constantly monitors weather and updates you with new options to keep your trip on schedule.

Question 30

What documentation do I need to board?

Accepted Answer

Depending on your route and destination, passengers are typically required to present valid government-issued photo identification for domestic flights, or a valid passport and any required visas for international travel. If traveling with pets, required vaccination records or health certificates should also be arranged in advance. Our operations team confirms all required documentation prior to departure.
